Since I started this blog we have been talking about fashion, beauty, or lifestyle. But I always wanted this blog to be more than that! I wanted it to be the space where I can always come back to heal and to reflect. That’s why. today’s blog is more like- “self-talk”. -
I always have suffered because of my insecurities, self-doubts, fear of being judged, getting rejected, not knowing what I want, what I should do, etc. I have always kept myself under some pressure. The pressure to become perfect, to do everything right, to excel, and what not! Some days, I take it to the extent that I will cry and lose my shit over things that are not so important. And the feeling that other people around me have all sorted makes me more anxious.
Is this toxic?
YES, it is.
-But is this normal?
YES, it is. Over time I have realized that We can never be happy with what we have. Always wanting more whether it is material or feelings!!
And when we don’t get what we want, we tend to upset ourselves. So, it is safe to say that it’s pretty normal to feel like shit some days.
Don’t be so harsh on yourself just because it seems like, the other person has it easy. The only difference between you and the other person is- they decided to come out of the situation and have learnt to fight their battles gracefully. You, on the other hand, still figuring your unique way.
Yes, this may take time but it will be worth it.
So, if you are someone like me who is hard on herself, please know that life is not easy for anyone. Even though it might seem that everyone else except you is happy, perfect, enjoying, and achieving whatever desired. The REALITY is- they are also fighting (maybe more gracefully than you but fight is there). So, it’s nothing to worry about!
Always remember, Bad things happen but then good things also happen. You can’t control everything. What you can control is yourself. So, get up.. Change your situation and reach where you want to be. And don’t stop because bad things are happening to you, it’s Okay! Life happens! It’s Okay to be upset sometimes, it’s okay to feel lost sometimes, it’s Okay to pause..It’s okay to let it just goo. To sum up, It’s OKAY to NOT BE OKAY SOMETIMES because some days you need to let loose.
