Hi Guys,
Today, I will be talking about “COOKING white sauce Pasta”. I know it’s not something that we usually discuss but..but…but.. trust me it was soo good that I couldn’t resist myself from sharing it.
Before you read further, please know, I am not a chef or a food expert. Rather just a regular person who cooked something delicious and wants to share it. So, please don’t expect the perfect recipe, it’s imperfect but still delicious.
Now, coming to the recipe, first and foremost are the ingredients so make sure you have-
Pasta Obviously (I used Penne, you can choose whatever you like)
Butter/ olive oil (better if you have both and in case you don’t have olive oil replace it with any other refined oil of your choice)
All-purpose flour (Maida)
Milk (I added 250 ml)
Finely Chopped Garlic
Veggies of your choice (I chose onions, corns, baby corns, green capsicum, and yellow capsicum)
Italian herbs/ Oregano
Salt
Red chilli flakes
Black Pepper
Step 1:
Boil the pasta but don’t forget to add some salt and olive oil into it. (Now, I am not going to tell you how to boil pasta! I am sure you know it!)
Step 2:
Once it’s soft, strain it with cold water.
Now, leave the pasta to get cool. Meanwhile, we will prepare the white sauce!
Step 3:
Heat the pan, put some butter into it.
Step 4:
As soon as the butter heats, put 2 spoons of maida and mix well for a minute or so (Don’t let the Maida change its colour).
Step 5:
Slowly add some milk to it and mix it really well until there are no lumps. Feel free to add more milk to bring the consistency you like (Make sure you don’t add all of the milk at once, it will create lumps, hard to dissolve).
Step 6:
Once you got the sauce-like consistency, add 2 slices of cheese (if you like more cheese, add 4 slices). Mix them well.
Step 7:
Now add salt, oregano, and chilli flakes and mix them well. And your white sauce is reaaaaaadddyyyy!!!
Now, Sauce is ready, Pasta is boiled.. Time for the few final steps:
Step 8:
Take another pan, add some oil and butter. Let it heat but don’t burn it! 1 minute is okay!
Step 9:
Add some chopped garlic.
Step 10:
As the aroma of garlic diffuses, add all the veggies you have and cook them until they get a little soft. I like ‘em crunchy. You do what you like!
Step 11:
Now, add white sauce to your veggies. Mixed ‘em well.
Step 12:
Add boiled pasta. Mix everything
Step 13:
Add some salt, oregano, red chili flakes, and some black pepper. Mix them well and your pasta is ready finally!
Step 14:
I added this step because I didn’t want to end the recipe at an odd number.
Annnndddd........Your Pasta is ready. I hope you have enjoyed today’s blog. In case you try this recipe don’t forget to share it with me.
