Hi Guys,
Today, we will be discussing about the 7 products that I have stopped buying. Talking about myself, I have always been a hoarder when it comes to beauty and fashion (This is something I am not very proud of). So, when I say that these are the products that you should stop buying, I am saying it with my own experience. I have been to the place where I have spent quite a lot of money on the things that I should not have bought. But I have learned with the time and still learning.
So, starting with the list the first product I have is:
1. Peel of Masks
Now, peels of Masks have been a huge trend on social media. Seeing, most famous influencers trying it, I thought of giving it a try. As satisfying it is to remove peel-off masks, I feel it does not make any difference to my skin. Instead, I felt it was very harsh. And with the fine glitter plastic particles, it is nothing but the waste. So, not buying it anytime soon.
Also, yes, it is Instagram worthy but I don’t think it deserves my money if it's doing nothing for my skin.

2. Lip Scrubs
I don’t know what on earth I was thinking when I bought this product. Generally, these scrubs are made of physical abrasives like sugar or microbeads that manually peel the dry skin from the lips. And the delicate skin of our lips often gets micro-tears while scrubbing leading to dry or chapped lips in the longer run. In short, it does more harm than good.
And being an individual who suffered from dry lips for the longest time, now I feel lip scrubs are a complete waste of my money. Instead, I suggest everyone opt for a good lip balm that could provide the right nourishment.
3. Face Wipes
If you have used face wipes ever in your life you will know why they are such a bad idea! Except for the sweet fragrance, I don’t think they are worth anything. Not able to properly clean the dirt, forget about the makeup. And even though some of the expensive ones somehow do their job; throwing away the expensive wipe after a single use is an unnecessary waste we are adding to the environment. I would rather prefer washing my face instead of using a face wipe.

4. Eye-shadow Primers
This is amongst those products that I have never used myself but still guilty of purchasing. I gifted it to one of my friends as she wanted to try them desperately. But she holds the same opinion as me after using it. Now, I know that they make your eye shadow pop but that’s the only thing they do! I mean, if popping eye shadow is the main motive then it can be done with a hack of white eyeliner as well. Why get this product?

5. Stretch mark Creams
I have seen people around me getting obsessed over the stretch marks and using all sorts of creams to remove them. I have never used them. And honestly, even though I have stretch marks, I feel it’s okay to have them. Our body changes over time and it’s completely normal. I would never do something to remove them.
But again beauty is subjective and it means different to everyone. So, even if you want to remove them, I want you to tell you out loud that they DON’T work. Unless you are undergoing a laser treatment, I don’t think so they can be removed. In case you are not fine with laser treatments why not use makeup to conceal them rather than using useless oils and creams.
6. Sheet Masks
I know a lot of people will going to hate me for this. But to be honest, the popularity of sheet masks is the result of consumerism. I have been crazy about them and guilty of using them like a mad person. But I was not able to see any considerable impact on my skin. My skin did feel soft and plump for a few hours but if I missed them any day, my skin got back to as it was before.
I feel that skincare should give you a long-lasting impact so that even when you stop using it, the difference it made should be there on the skin for a very long time. But that’s not the case with Sheet masks. Apart from this, I feel a lot of serum gets wasted in the packet itself. 1 good sheet mask cost Rs 100 (minimum) and can be used one time only. So, the amount of waste is huge as compared to benefits.
7. Eyebrow Mascara
I feel this product is a scam! Lol!
Why..Why..Whyyyy this product exists?
The gel does absolutely no miracle. If you really want to set your brows, the regular mascara does the job as well as the Brow mascara. So, I don’t understand the urge of buying it. I strictly feel this product is nothing but a vague attempt of the companies to sell something which we don’t even need. Not buying it everrrr!!!
So, that was it for today. Now that I have listed all the 7 products, I hope you understand my perspective of not using them again. I am not an expert but I am a consumer of these products. Thus, sharing my opinions and personal experiences which sometimes might differ from yours.
I hope you will understand and find this blog useful. Until Next time. Byeeeee!!
Thanks Adityan 😃
