5 Shows You Must Watch on Netflix:

Updated: Apr 20, 2022

Netflix, being my most abused apps, introduced me to some really good shows. So here I am sharing my top 5 shows that you might like on Netflix.

Starting with the list, the first show is:

1. Unbelievable

The series is based on the true story of Marie (the protagonist) who was accused of lying about being raped. The case when investigated by two female officers reveals the truth. It is so intriguing that you will not be able to know the truth till the end of the series.

Trust me, the series has a whole lot of twist and it’s amusing to watch it unfold in every single episode. If you are into crime and drama genre, mark this limited series on Netflix to your watchlist right now.

2. Unorthodox

With only 4 episodes, this mini-series is based on Deborah Feldman’s autobiography. Esty (the protagonist), a 19-year-old Jewish girl, living in an ultra-orthodox community; unhappy with her marriage who tried living a secular life by running away from her family. This series unfolds in a very beautiful way where watching Esty seeking new experiences and trying being independent is a delight to watch. I absolutely loved how the series provided the insights into the language (Yiddish) and the community that not many are aware of.

3. The trials of Gabriel Fernandez

This is the true-crime docuseries based on the tragic death of an 8-year-old boy. With crime scene photos, descriptions of killers, and victims, this series can be mentally disturbing to watch (in case you avoid watching sensitive content). Although, it sends a very important message at the same time. I was so much moved with the documentary that I could not stop crying at the end.

4. Caliphate

I can surely say, Caliphate is amongst the most intense drama I have watched till now. This Swedish series is a very close representation of modern terrorism and shows how religious fundamentalism destroys people’s lives. This series is so good that I am sure if you will watch it, you will thank me for suggesting this one.

5. The End of the F**ucking World- Season 1

This show has already 2 seasons up on Netflix. Even though I didn’t like the second one much, I am still in love with its first season. This show is full of dark comedy and revolves around two socially awkward cum isolated teens who found comfort in each other. I love how it talks about various emotional issues and the impacts of bullying on teens.

That is it from my end for today’s blog. Hope you liked it. Until next time stay safe, stay home.

Love Love,

Sakshi
