Hi People,
In my Instagram stories, I asked for some blog suggestions. Thanks to you guys, I got many new ideas. This particular blog is requested by my friend Stuti. I love makeup a lot. But I know that most of the time it can be quite expensive. And if you are a beginner then I am sure you often end up buying products that do not even suit you. Thus, wasting a lot more money.
So, what better could it be to share some of my learned hacks to save some money as well?
Now, there are chances that you already are aware of some of the hacks. But hang in there, some of them could be new to you. So, please give it a read.
1. Eyeshadow as a highlighter:
I did not buy any highlighter for the longest time. Instead, I always had an eye shadow palette with pale gold shade. I used to apply it to all the high points of my face. And it always worked flawlessly.
2. Ice Cubes as Make-Up Primer:
Ice cubes help in minimising the pores. So, in case you are running out of primer and still need that flawless base and long-lasting foundation. Apply Ice-cubes just before your makeup.
3. Red Or Orange Lipstick for color correction:
I have never bought a color corrector until yesterday. Instead, I used either a Red or orange lipstick to hide my dark circles.
Just apply an orange lipstick on all the dark areas you want to hide and then cover it up with a concealer followed by foundation.
4. Mascara to fill eyebrows:
If you are someone who likes your eyebrows to look natural yet filled then instead of using eyebrow pencils use Mascara to fill your brows. Apply light strokes with the wand and clean up the smudge or the mistakes with a q-tip. In case, you want to shape them entirely differently then use eyebrow pencil only.
5. Rosewater as Make-up Setting spray:
Once you are done with the make-up, lightly spray some rose-water all over your face and then lightly pat it with your make up sponge. Voila! You will instantly get the refreshing fragrance and dewy glow. No need for make-up Setting Spray.

6. Talcum powder as Translucent Powder:
I learned this hack from Youtube when I was very new to makeup. And I loved it.
To avoid the under eye crease, apply talcum powder after your concealer. Let it sit for a while. And then gently wipe away with a makeup brush. Follow up with the foundation. You will see the same effect. But please make sure that you do not apply any medicated powder near your eye. I used Ponds Talcum powder for the longest time.
7. Concealer to make lipstick Matte:
In case you want to apply a matt lipstick without drying out your lips then dab some concealer after applying the lipstick. Don’t go overboard with the concealer. Apply just a little because it could neutralise the colour of the lipstick. Tadaaaa! You are ready. Bonus-It will also last long**.
8. Eye drop to save Mascara:
There are times when you forget to close mascara tightly and then it went on drying spree. In this case, add 2-3 eye drops to your mascara. You can also add some lense solution to prevent it from drying further.
9. White Eyeliner to Pop Eyeshadow:
Sometimes no matter how hard you try to highlight the color of the eyeshadow you just cannot do it. Either the colour is too worn out or sometimes it’s not pigmented enough. All you have to do is apply some white eyeliner before you apply the eyeshadow (as shown in picture) and trust me the colour will pop instantly.

10. Tik-Tok Viral Make up Hack:
So, I tried the famous Tik Tok hack for longlasting makeup. I have oily to normal skin so it worked very well for me. And I loved it so much. Although, if you have dry skin, I don’t suggest you try it.
So, all you have to do is change the steps for base makeup and do this instead:
Moisturise your face-->Dab Translucent powder all over your face (not too much)--> Apply Make-up Setting Spray-->Apply Primer --> Apply foundation.
Anddd you are done.
So, these were some of the makeup hacks that I have learned over the years. In case you know some of the hacks, don’t forget to comment below. It might help me.
I hope you guys liked it. Until next time. Byeee!
